Continuing Education Recognition

Continuing education is needed by professionals in many fields to demonstrate that they have continued to gain new knowledge and update their professional licenses or certifications as the years pass. All registered Individuals who attended the “LIVE” webinar will be eligible for continuing education recognition. All continuing education recognition that participants qualify for will be posted in their accounts for downloading or printing purposes.

To receive full credit for a session we must be able to verify attendance in the webinar which is based on your full name.

Individuals must be:

  • Logged in using the email associated with their account; or
  • For sites where multiple individuals participated with a single login to receive continuing education recognition must submit the CE Verification Form within 5 business days after the conclusion of the webinar.

Prorated certificates are not available for the following: AIA or ICC. General Certificates of Attendance and ACTCP are available for prorated contact hours.

Below is a short description of our most popular types of Continuing Education Recognition. Some are available for any participant, while others are provided only for members of specific professional organizations.

ACTCP (ADA Coordinator’s Training Certificate Program)

This free certificate of attendance is offered to any participant whose attendance can be verified either by webinar sign-in or by telephone number. Offered for ADA Audio, ADA Legal, ADA Accessible Technology and Accessibilityonline webinars.

AIA (American Institute of Architects)

AIA is offered only for members of this particular professional organization. Members of AIA will have their verified attendance records submitted to AIA within ten days after the conclusion of the webinar. AIA members must provide their membership number when requesting AIA credit.

California Architecture Licensure Report Form

CA licensees must complete five hours of coursework on disability access requirements within the previous two years of license renewal. The coursework on disability access requirements must include information and practical guidance concerning the requirements imposed by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (Public Law 101- 336; 42 U.S.C. Sec. 12101. We provide a reporting form at no cost that can be used to demonstrate verified attendance of the required content.

Great Lakes ADA Center Certificate of Attendance

This versatile certificate of attendance is offered at no charge to any participant whose attendance can be verified either by webinar sign-in or by telephone number.

INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL (ICC)

The International Code Council (ICC) is a nonprofit association that provides accreditation of training through their Preferred Provider program. The Great Lakes ADA Center is a certified preferred provider. ICC Preferred Providers offer opportunities to earn continuing education units that can be used toward Code Council certification renewal. The AccessibilityOnline program offers sessions on topics including, but not limited to codes, standards and guidelines.

LA CES (Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System)

The Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES) is offered for members of this organization to stay up to date in the profession, to develop new areas of expertise, and is mandated for maintaining licensure in many jurisdictions. Members of the Land Scape Architects professional organization will have their verified attendance records submitted via the LA CES on-line reporting system within twenty days of the webinar. LA CES members must provide their membership number when requesting LA CES in their account.
