Biography

Jan is Past President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and owner of Jan Bel Jan Course Design in Jupiter, FL and a Board Member for the National Alliance for Accessible Golf. She earned the ASGCA “Design Excellence” Award in 2014, 2016, and 2018, has received Women in the Golf Industry’s President’s Award, and has been listed in Sports Illustrated Plus among the Top Ten Most Influential Women in the Game of Golf. Her experience as a registered Landscape Architect, Certified Arborist and former assistant superintendent provide her with a unique outlook on the playability, strategy, ecology, economics and aesthetics of golf courses.
