Biography
Jennifer Purser began her career with Paralyzed Veterans of America in 2011, when she began working as a part time administrator with the PVA Mid-Atlantic Chapter. In 2012, she was promoted to Director and went on to become the Executive Director in 2015. After eight years at the Chapter, she took a position with PVA National as Senior Associate Director of Sports and Recreation, where her primary job is overseeing the National Veterans Wheelchair Games for PVA. In addition to the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, she oversees the PVA BASS Tournament Series and supports many other programs within the sports and recreation department.
Jennifer holds a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Strayer University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is CARRSS I certified and has substantial experience planning and executing adaptive sports programs and other large events. In her free time she loves both mountain biking and road cycling.
Jennifer has supported many boards and committees in the community, to include: the Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Committee, the State of Virginia’s Board for the Richmond Regional Ride Center, Richmond Emergency Committee. She has also served many years as both PTA President, Vice President and member, in both Chesterfield and Powhatan County Schools.
She and her husband Bryn Purser, have been married for 24 years. They reside in Powhatan, Virginia with their daughter.
