Gina Schafer is the Digital Media Manager and Veterans Services Specialist at Disability Network Eastern Michigan. She has spent more than 16 years working within the Center for Independent Living system, where she has supported consumers in integrating assistive technology into their daily lives and in making digital media more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. In her current role, Gina leads DNEM’s digital communications efforts, helping ensure that websites, social media, and online resources reflect best practices in accessibility and has conducted regional webinars on Digital Media Content and Digital Document Accessibility.
