Biography

Steven Fisher serves as the City of Charlotte’s ADA Digital Accessibility Coordinator, leading efforts to ensure the city’s digital platforms, including CharlotteNC.gov, are accessible to all residents. Charlotte is the 14th largest city in the United States, with a population of more than 900,000, making digital access a critical component of public service delivery.

With a background as the city’s Webmaster, Steven has worked closely with executive leadership, department partners, and the City Attorney’s Office to advance digital accessibility and ADA compliance. In response to the growing demand for digital services during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Charlotte created a dedicated role to oversee digital accessibility in 2023. Steven is proud to lead this work, helping the city move toward a more inclusive, accessible digital experience for all residents.
