Brandon Biggs is the CEO of XR Navigation, an Engineer at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, and a PhD candidate at the Georgia institute of Technology. In 2019 he received his masters in Inclusive Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design University, and in 2021, began his PhD in Human Centered Computing from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is almost completely blind. His work focuses on making digital cartography viewing and editing accessible to everyone, including blind users. He has over 15 publications focused on non-visual cartography, and has presented at numerous conferences including CSUN, Accessing Higher Ground, and M-Enabling. His work on digital maps has been endorsed by the National Federation of the Blind, Perkins, TPGi, and Level Access.
