Biography

Mychal Voorhees received her master’s degree in health communication from Tufts University before joining Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) in 2013. At WUSM, she coordinates the Becker Medical Library’s Communicating for Health Program, which provides health literacy and health communication services across campus to faculty, staff, and medical students. Mychal’s professional interests include improving health communication education for healthcare providers and simplifying complex information for general audiences. In addition to her work at the library, Mychal teaches professional communication at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
