Biography
Lorrie Bates is a Civil Rights Investigator in the Civil Rights Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan serving in this role since November 2022. Prior to joining the CRU, Lorrie worked as a local law enforcement officer for 18 years and finished her law enforcement career as a Special Agent with the Michigan Department of Attorney General assigned to the Health Care Fraud and Financial Crimes Divisions. Lorrie received a Master of Urban Planning from Wayne State University and an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
