Biography


Dawne Gardner is the Transportation Planner and ADA Coordinator for the City of Springfield, Missouri. She developed a passion for advocating for people with disabilities while working for the Missouri Department of Transportation for 19 years as the Transportation Planning Coordinator in the Springfield District Office. She began working at the City in 2012 and soon began the process of developing the City’s first ADA Transition Plan. Through this effort, she has improved communication with local disability advocates and now partners with them to continue to move the implementation of the transition plan forward. Dawne holds a B.S and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Missouri State University and is a Certified Planner through the American Planning Association.
