Biography


Eric Reed is the Deputy Director of the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) and the Program Director the for New Horizon Loan Program, FAAST’s alternative finance program. Eric oversees the consumer services of FAAST which, in addition to his role with the loan program, includes direction of the device loan program and the information and assistance statewide help desk. He joined FAAST in 2015 and has grown a new direct loan and loan guarantee program to include over 120 approvals and total loan funding of nearly $1,000,000. The loan program serves all Floridians with disabilities, assisting them with acquisition of assistive technology to help create, improve or maintain their independence. Prior to joining FAAST, Eric worked in the banking industry for thirteen years and brings this experience as well as customer service focused management to the FAAST programs. He holds a bachelor’s in International Business from Auburn University and lives in Tallahassee with his wife and two children.
